We’re looking for reliable workers to join our team at Pick & Pack 88 for the upcoming sweet potato season here in sunny Bundaberg.
If you’re looking to get your farm days sorted for your 2nd or 3rd-year visa, this is a great spot to do it. We’re a straightforward crew and we pay strictly by the Horticulture Award.
What the job looks like
It’s a mix of indoor and outdoor work, so you won’t be stuck doing the same thing every single minute.
- Out in the field: Weeding, digging, planting, and lifting plastic sheeting.
- In the shed: Packing, sorting, and grading the potatoes to get them ready for shops.
The Details
- Pay: $30.35 per hour + 12% Superannuation.
- Payday: Every Wednesday via bank transfer (with electronic payslips for your records).
- Hours: Long days (7–11 hours) usually 3–5 days a week depending on the weather and crop.
- Gear: You’ll need your own High-Vis clothing.
Living & Getting Around
We can help get you set up with accommodation and transport so you don’t have to stress about the logistics.
- Rent: $195–$210 per week.
- Bond: $300 (refundable).
- Transport: $8 a day to get you to and from the fields.
