TACS Construction Ltd. is looking for four experienced, precision-oriented Carpenters to join our team in York, Ontario. We handle a diverse range of projects—from residential renovations to large-scale commercial and industrial builds—and we need experts who take pride in the structural integrity and finish of their work.
We are currently supporting international talent and have an LMIA in process for qualified foreign applicants.
What the Role Entails
- Structural Assembly: Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
- Framework: Building solid foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting wall and roof systems.
- Finishing Work: Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware with high accuracy.
- Material Expertise: Working with traditional wood as well as modern composite materials.
- Maintenance: Performing essential repairs and upkeep across various work settings.
What We Are Looking For
- Expertise: At least 5 years of professional experience in carpentry.
- Skills Over Degrees: No formal degree or diploma is required; we value your hands-on experience and craftsmanship above all else.
- Communication: Ability to work effectively in either English or French.
- Physical Stamina: Comfort with a physically demanding environment involving heavy lifting, kneeling, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Reliability: A commitment to accuracy and showing up ready to work on-site in York.
